Twelfth Night has a special place in my mind, because it was the first theatrical production that I had the opportunity to work on. Even though I was only a lowly followspot operator, I had a blast while being introduced to the world of theatre. Had the production ran differently that it did, I probably wouldn't have stuck with theatre.
The show we did at WLHS was an adaptation of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night, set in the prohibition era and to the tune of Gerschwin. Cheryl Cantwell (Director) did an excellent job of breathing new life into the old Shakesperian drama, and adapting the characters to a 1920's metropolis. The effect was that the show became more appealing to modern audiences.
